How to care for Crassula Ovata Crosby's Compact(Dwarf Jade Plant), 10''-12" tall
Sun/Temperature: The Dwarf Jade Plant prefers ample sunlight, so except for providing some shade during summer, it can receive full sunlight throughout other seasons. The optimal temperature for its growth is between 60°F and 80°F. During the winter, prolonged exposure to extreme weather should be avoided.
Soil/Watering: The soil for planting Dwarf Jade Plant must be loose and well-draining. A mixture of coarse coconut coir, peat moss, perlite, etc., is recommended. Watering needs to be controlled during maintenance. Excessive moisture can lead to root rot. It is advisable to water only after the soil has dried out.
Pot: Use pots with drainage holes. Due to its large size, it is best to use a deeper pot when planting.
Propagation: Propagation is commonly done through stem cuttings. Select a healthy stem, cut it with scissors, let the wound dry in a well-ventilated area, then insert it into dry soil.
Fertilization: Spring and fall are its peak growth periods, when it is necessary to apply organic liquid fertilizer every other month, each time the amount of no more than 1% of the weight of the potting soil is appropriate. Summer is its dormant period, this time to stop fertilizing.
