The Sansevieria 'Icicle' is a striking and elegant variety of snake plant, known for its tall, slender leaves featuring frosty variegation. This unique appearance adds a modern and minimalist touch to any indoor space. As a member of the succulent family, it is renowned for its hardiness and low-maintenance nature, making it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts.
Pet Friendliness:
The Sansevieria Icicle is not pet-friendly. It contains saponins, which can be toxic to cats, dogs, and other pets if ingested. Keep it safely out of reach of pets and small children.
Care Instructions:
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but is highly adaptable and can tolerate low-light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the primary concern, so water sparingly and ensure the pot has adequate drainage.
Humidity: Prefers average indoor humidity levels and doesn’t require additional misting, making it an easy-care option for most homes.
Temperature: Grows best in temperatures between 16–29°C. Protect from cold drafts or temperatures below 10°C.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix, to prevent water retention.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce feeding during the fall and winter months.
Repotting: Due to its slow growth, repotting is only needed every 2–3 years or when it outgrows its container.
