Cherokee Purple Tomato Seeds - Heirloom, Non-GMO, Non-Hybrid, Open-Pollinated
Cherokee Purple Tomato seeds produce one of the most beloved heirloom tomato varieties, prized for their rich, smoky flavor and stunning deep purple-red hue. Perfect for home gardens and tomato enthusiasts, these seeds are heirloom, non-GMO, non-hybrid, and open-pollinated, ensuring a natural and sustainable way to grow your own delicious tomatoes.
Each packet contains 200mg of seed, approximately 85 seeds.
Planting Instructions:
• Days to Maturity: Approximately 80-90 days from transplanting.
• Planting Depth: Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep.
• Plant Spacing: Space plants 24-36 inches apart in rows spaced 36-48 inches apart.
• Days to Germination: Expect germination within 7-14 days with proper soil temperature (70-85°F).
Starting Indoors or Outdoors:
• Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost in your area. Transplant seedlings outside after all danger of frost has passed and when soil temperatures have warmed.
• Direct sowing outdoors is not recommended for tomatoes as they require a long growing season.
Growing Requirements:
• Light Requirements: Cherokee Purple tomatoes thrive in full sun, requiring 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
• Soil: Prefers well-draining, nutrient-rich soil with a pH of 6.0-7.0.
• Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Avoid overhead watering to reduce the risk of disease.
These Cherokee Purple tomatoes are a must-have for any gardener, delivering a unique blend of bold flavor and beautiful color. Whether you’re making fresh salads, slicing for sandwiches, or canning, this heirloom variety is sure to impress. Enjoy high yields and the satisfaction of growing your own produce from seeds that are non-GMO, non-hybrid, and open-pollinated for generations of quality gardening.
